Slovenia, located in Central Europe, is officially known as the Republic of Slovenia. It is a member of the World Trade Organization, the European Union, CEFTA and the European Exchange Rate Mechanism. The economy of the country heavily relies on foreign trade and around two-thirds of country's trade is done with the EU members. Mineral deposits of the country include coal, lead, zinc, mercury, uranium, and silver. Main industries of Slovenia are: trucks, electric power equipment, wood products, ferrous metallurgy and aluminum products, lead and zinc smelting, electronics (including military electronics), textiles, chemicals and machine tools. |
